Lady Irish soccer come out on top in a big time game Thursday night. They took down Hurricane High School, 2-1, in a top 5 matchup at Schoenbaum Soccer Stadium. The Irish got off to a big start when a penalty kick from Claire Mullen found the bottom left corner. Not long after the Irish were able to extend the lead as Jill Uy found Annie Cimino on the back post of a corner kick. Hurricane was able to drill a free kick right after halftime, but the Lady Irish held off the comeback to pull off an upset against the MSAC Champs. The girls have another big game, October 15 as they go up take on a tough Morgantown team for their last regular season game.
